Setup takes a couple of minutes, and the only part that genuinely matters is the recovery phrase. Everything else — the sign-in email, your @handle, which chains you look at first — can be changed later. The phrase cannot be reissued, because no system anywhere holds a second copy of it.
Create your wallet

Install SpendTheBits from the App Store or Google Play and open it.

Tap Create wallet.
Choose Restore wallet instead if you already have a recovery phrase from SpendTheBits or any other BIP-39 wallet.

Sign in with your email and the one-time code sent to it.
The sign-in identifies your account for public data such as addresses and your @handle. It does not control your funds, and it cannot be used to move them.

Write the recovery phrase down on paper, in order, when the app shows it.
Do not screenshot it. The app deliberately blocks screenshots on this screen, and a phrase in a photo library or a cloud note is a phrase that can be read by anything with access to that account.

Complete the confirmation quiz, which asks you to re-enter several words from the phrase.
This exists because a backup you have not verified is not a backup. Most lost wallets were written down incorrectly, not lost.

Set a passphrase if you want a second factor on top of the seed.
A passphrase is stored separately from the phrase and is required alongside it to restore. It protects you if the written phrase is found — but if you forget it, the phrase alone will not recover the wallet.

Claim an @handle so people can pay you without copying an address.

- Your addresses on all 13 chains are derived from that one phrase on the device. There is no separate account per chain to create or fund.
