How can recurring crypto payments work without giving up custody?+
Autopay and streams use a revocable on-chain allowance (an EIP-2612 permit) you sign once. It caps the maximum that can ever move and can be revoked at any time, it is an allowance, not an escrow, so funds stay in your wallet until each transfer runs.
