The two routes spend from different balances. The TRX route uses USDT and TRX at your ordinary TRON address. The USDT route uses the USDT at your separate no-TRX address and needs no TRX at all.
If neither route can send right now, the screen shows one next step instead of an error, such as getting a little TRX, moving USDT to the right address, or changing the amount.
Compare and pick
- 1
Open Send, choose USDT on TRON, then enter the recipient and the amount.
- 2
Read both route cards.
Each lists the network fee, the STB fee and what you pay on top. A fee that is an estimate says so with the word about.
- 3
Choose the route that is available and cheaper for this transfer.
A card that cannot be used says why in plain words, for example that the balance at that address is too low.
- 4
If the screen shows a next step, tap its button and come back.
It takes you to the screen that fixes the gap, such as receiving USDT at the no-TRX address.
- 5
Review and confirm with your device unlock.
Good to know
- STB fees for TRON sends come from their own fee table and are shown before you sign. Small transfers can carry no STB fee. The Fees screen has the current figures.
- The TRX route can be cheaper for large transfers, and the USDT route can be simpler when you hold no TRX. The comparison is for your exact transfer, so run it again if you change the amount.
- Moving USDT between your own two TRON addresses has no STB fee.
Frequently asked
Some fees are flat and some scale with the amount, so the cheaper route can switch as the amount grows.
The screen tells you the next step, usually to receive USDT at your no-TRX address or to get a small amount of TRX.
No. It is what the screen shows now. The review step before you sign shows the final figures.
