How to send USDT on TRON without TRX

Short answer

To send USDT on TRON without TRX, open Settings, choose USDT without TRX, and send from the no-TRX balance shown there. This works only for USDT held at your separate no-TRX address, which is different from your ordinary TRON address. A provider fee is taken from the USDT you send, so you never need TRX. Your keys stay on your device and you sign each transfer there.

On TRON, sending USDT normally burns TRX for the network cost. With no TRX you would be stuck. The no-TRX route uses a transfer service that pays the network cost and takes a fee in USDT instead.

It runs from a separate address that belongs to you and is derived from your TRON address. USDT sitting at your ordinary TRON address still needs TRX to move, unless you first send it to the no-TRX address from a wallet that has TRX.

Send from the no-TRX address

  1. 1

Open Settings and tap USDT without TRX.

If the screen says it is not available, the feature is not switched on for your network or your region, and nothing has moved.

  2. 2

Open the Receive tab and copy or scan your no-TRX address, then send USDT there.

Only send USDT on TRON to this address. The screen shows your no-TRX balance once the deposit arrives.

  3. 3

Open the Send tab, paste the recipient's TRON address and enter an amount.

The screen shows the fee and what the recipient gets before you confirm. There is a minimum for ordinary transfers because the provider fee is flat, and the screen states it.

  4. 4

Tap Review, check the details, and confirm with your device unlock.

  5. 5

Watch the progress steps until the transfer shows as sent.

It is processed by the provider, so it can take a short while. Until it finishes, that amount shows as being processed and cannot be used twice.

Good to know

  • To bring USDT back to your ordinary TRON address, tap Move to my TRON address. That move has no minimum and no STB fee, so a small balance is never stranded.
  • Two fees can apply to a normal transfer: the provider's fee, and an STB fee on larger amounts. Both are shown before you sign.
  • The same checks as every send apply: recipient screening, your spending guardrails and Freeze.

Frequently asked

Only USDT at your no-TRX address. USDT at your ordinary TRON address needs TRX to send, or you can move it across first.

The provider charges a flat fee, so a small transfer would lose most of its value to it. The minimum keeps that cost reasonable.

No. The address is yours and each transfer is signed on your device. The provider submits the signed transfer and takes its fee.
