XRP, RLUSD and FXRP: XRP Ledger Guides
On the XRP Ledger, XRP is the native asset and every other token, including Ripple's RLUSD and Circle's USDC, is an issued token that you hold through a trust line: a one-time, signed permission to hold one currency from one issuer. Each trust line locks a small XRP reserve, which is returned if you remove it.
SpendTheBits holds XRP, RLUSD and USDC on the XRP Ledger from the same recovery phrase as every other chain, and hard-codes the official issuers so a look-alike token cannot be added by mistake. FXRP is XRP bridged to the Flare network through FAssets, which lets XRP be used in Flare's DeFi, including the Firelight vault that Earn can route to.
- Trust line setup: one TrustSet transaction per token, signed on your phone.
- Reserve per trust line: locked, not spent, and refunded if the line is removed.
- Issuers: the official RLUSD and USDC issuers only.
- FXRP: XRP on Flare via FAssets, redeemable back to XRP.
